As part of the StemCONN2021 conference, we are offering “Meet the Expert” sessions with many of the featured speakers. These sessions will take place during a 50 minute period on the afternoon of the day (or the day after) that each speaker is presenting at StemCONN. Each session can have up to 20 attendees so sign up soon to reserve your spot. If a session is full, you can contact [email protected] to be put on the waitlist.

Se-Jin Lee MD PhD, Thursday April 1, 3 PM (Sign up to join) “Meet the Expert” session with Dr. Se-jin Lee from the Jackson Laboratory and UCONN Health Sciences campus. Dr. Lee uses stem cells to study muscle repair and regeneration including the effects of weightlessness in outer space.
Samira Musah PhD, Thursday April 1, 3 PM (Sign up to join) “Meet the Expert” session with Dr. Samira Musah from Duke University. Dr. Musah is working on biomedical engineering to use stem cells to create artificial kidneys.
In-hyun Park PhD, Thursday April 1, 4 PM (Sign up to join) “Meet the Expert” session with Dr. In-hyun Park from Yale University. Dr. Park uses stem cells to study brain development and related disorders.
Alison O’Neil PhD, Friday April 2, 2 PM (Sign up to join) “Meet the Expert” session with Dr. Alison O’Neil, Wesleyan University, who uses stem cells to study neurodegeneration including ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease))
Allen Eaves MD, PhD, Thursday April 8, 2 PM (Sign up to join) “Meet the Expert” session with Dr. Allen Eaves from STEMCELL technologies. Dr. Eaves is a world expert in clinical hematology, bone marrow transplantation and hematopoietic stem cells. As a physician, scientist and entrepreneur, his efforts have impacted every aspect of Hematology clinical practice and research.
Connie Eaves PhD, Thursday April 8, 3 PM (Sign up to join) “Meet the Expert” session with Dr. Connie Eaves from the University of British Columbia and Terry Fox Laboratories. Dr. Eaves is a world expert in normal and cancer stem cells in the bone marrow and breast.
Karolina Palucka MD PhD, Thursday April 8, 4 PM (Sign up to join) “Meet the Expert” session with Dr. Karolina Palucka from the Jackson Laboratory. Dr. Polucka has two major foci in her studies both related to immune responses. At StemCONN, she will present on studies using lung stem cells to model immune responses to viral infections like SARS-COV2, which causes COVID19. In addition, her lab studies how to harness the immune response to treat cancer (cancer immunotherapy).
Michael Bronson PhD, Thursday April 8, 1 PM (Sign up to join) “Meet the Expert” session with Dr. Michael Bronson from the 10x Genomics. Michael provides support for 10x Genomics’ solutions including multi-omic single-cell genomics and the multi-omic spatial analysis of intact tissues.
